NOTICE OF (2) POSSIBLE ELECTIONS

(1) NYS FOP Conference, October 18-20, 2026. We are entitled to (2) Delegates and (1) Alternate Delegate. If you are interested in running for this position, please send an email to hrprins@nysfop81.org NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, SEPT. 1, 2026. In the event that (3) or more active members apply, there will be an election held at our 9-3-26 meeting. Each candidate will have (5) FIVE minutes to address the members.

(2) Our STATE TRUSTEE position is also open for election. The position will start on October 20, 2026. If interested in running for this position, please send and email to hrprins@nysfop81.org NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, SEPT. 1, 2026. In the event (2) TWO or more active members apply, there will be an election held at out 9-3-26 meeting. Each candidate will have (5) FIVE minutes to address the members.

The NYSFOP has recently minted a 9/11 commemorative challenge coin. The cost is $20.00 per coin. We are attempting to have several on hand for purchase.

Check your drawers! We are looking for Lodge 81 courtesy cards from 1999 through 2021. If you have any, Contact President Prins at email below so we can create a display.

At the meeting, we will be holding a 50/50 raffle in addition to Lodge 81 logo merchandise for purchase.

Our 2026 renewal applications will be mailed out shortly. While your current membership is good until 12/31/25, we are required to send our upcoming roster to the state the last several weeks of October. We request that ALL renewals be postmarked NO LATER than October 31th, so there is no delay in processing and we receive your 2026 National card before the end of 2025. Any applications postmarked after October 31, 2025 will be charged a $10.00 late fee. Please make sure that all highlighted sections of the application are completely filled out. A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR CURRENT OR RETIRED LE ID IS REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED AS PER NATIONAL FOP RULES IN ORDER TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER.

We need to have your annual dues in to us by OCTOBER 31, 2025. Any member renewing after that date will wait until after the completion of all timely applications to be registered. There will be a 'Break' in service and you will then be listed as a LOSS (SUSPENDED) to the lodge and will have to be REINSTATED, meaning you will NOT be covered for insurance. You may lose lodge benefits until the next quarter, April 1, 2026.

If a member age 63 and older is SUSPENDED, they can NEVER get the Survivors Aid or AD & D Insurance again.

EFFECTIVE: NOVEMBER 7, 2023

A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed to any lapsed members that rejoin. You will NOT receive any Cards or Stickers until the LATE FEE is paid.

Attention: Please, If you want to purchase a NYS State Picture ID card, Go to Membership, Downloads / Forms, print out form and mail directly to Hicksville.

(Note: IDs WILL NOT be printed until the member and the lodge have renewed and PAID. )
